In 2025, Transportation Logistics Systems and Cayman Express entered a new chapter under new ownership. With deep respect for the foundation that was built, the focus became strengthening and aligning the two companies into one fully integrated operation.

As part of this evolution, we introduced TLS Powered by Cayman Express — bringing together the reliability of our asset-based fleet with the flexibility and reach of our brokerage services.

While TLS and Cayman Express were previously operated as distinct but related companies, today they move forward in full alignment. This integration allows us to combine:

  • The scalability and adaptability of a national brokerage network

  • A unified operations team driving execution and service excellence

Our History

Transportation Logistics Systems (TLS)

Established in 1992, the founder, Melody Warren, saw a need for reliable freight service providers in an industry where commitment was lacking. Her industry experience had taught her to always provide the truth about a customer’s freight, no matter the consequences. Her integrity and constant customer communication helped provide solutions to her customers and with that Transportation Logistics Systems (TLS) got its start.

It did not take long for the staff to grow when the company’s core values were applied to customer freight. The team moved into a historic 2-story building in 1998.​

TLS quickly grew into a full-service, third-party logistics provider with an established customer base, including both Fortune 500 and smaller companies. They relied on TLS as their “in-house” shipping department, building long-term partnerships.​

Cayman Express LLC

The next big move came in 2015, with the addition of Cayman Express, LLC. Our customers clearly demonstrated a need for 53-foot dry vans. With our customer’s support, Cayman Express was started. Now the TLS family of companies can fulfill our customer’s requirements in totality – by either providing direct asset-based service or through brokering.​

​​​With our depth and experience – the TLS suite of companies are a third-party logistics provider, and an asset-based company providing dedicated equipment to service client needs. We offer customers a full line of options for their transportation needs. TLS can become an extension of your shipping department by providing a wide range of services, nationally and locally:​
